Election of Vice President for Academic Activities of ELSA Leeds

The Vice President for Academic Activities (AA) is a Key Area which involves contributing towards legal education and bridging legal theory into practice through events such as: • essay competitions • moot competitions • negotiation competitions • Legal Research Groups As a VP AA your role will include organising AA events within ELSA Leeds as well as encouraging our members to participate in international AA events. You will become part of the ELSA Leeds committee which includes general responsibilities such as attending weekly board meetings as well as events organised by ELSA Leeds. While existing knowledge of Academic Activities and ELSA as a whole is welcomed it is not a requirement to apply for the position.

LeadLUU 2020

The 7 successful candidates of this election will become the new Student Exec for LUU - representing all 38,000 of you, our members, on everything from the content of your course and the range of clubs and societies on offer, through to recycling where you live. From how much a meal deal costs in Essentials, as well as what support services you can access and making sure that we represent every kind of student - no matter your background, nationality, faith or sexuality. Six of the officers are also trustees of Leeds University Union for 2019-20. The editor of The Gryphon is elected alongside the Exec, taking charge of your student newspaper for the next year - holding the Exec and the Union to account.

NUS National Conference Election 2020

10 Students are needed to represent Leeds at the National Union of Students Annual Conference. Are you up to it? The Conference will take place from Tuesday 31st March to Thursday 2nd April 2020 in Liverpool There are ten places available within this one position, and 5 of the delegation must identify as women, trans* women or non-binary. LUU cover the cost of the conference, travel as well as food and drink expenses. We'll also provide you with training and support ahead of your time at conference.
