Chair

The leader of the committee, the job is to make sure that all committee members work well together and to do your best in order to represent the society and its committee fairly.

Secretary

The secretary is the main person who will be in charge of organisational duties, this will include: events- both regular and one-of, setting up rotas and making sure everyone on the committee is staying involved as much as possible.

Treasurer

The treasurer is in charge of the society's finances, they should be able to advise the rest of the committee on what would be a good way to use the budget.

Events

This will be the person/people in charge of organizing and running events, especially those which are on a slightly bigger scale. The LGBT society is the most active society in the LUU and so this position requires a lot of time and work. The events officer must work with the rest of the committee to make sure all events are inclusive as well as to make sure that the rest of the committee help out with events wherever possible.

Communications

The role of this position is to be in charge of the main communications that the society has, this includes our emails which can get very busy. It is also preferable if the people/person in this position have some experience with media, any promotional items are the responsibility of this position.

Equality & Diversity

The role of this position is to be the one who is responsible to make sure that all of the society's events are as inclusive as possible, no event should really be set up without running it by the E&D officer.

Trans* Welfare

The role of this position is to look after the Trans* members of the society. This includes, running welfare events and being available for giving advise etc.

Bisexual Welfare

The role of this position is to look after those members in the society who identify under the Bi+ umbrella. This will include trying to understand what those members need and want from the society and where possible, trying to provide those things.

The role of this position is to look after the members of the society who self-identify as women. This will include trying to understand what those members need and want from the society and where possible, trying to provide those things.
